Call for proposals

The next meeting of the GANIL Program Advisory Committee (PAC) will take place from the 23rd to 24th of November 2026. It will be held in hybride mode.

This call is open for experimental proposals to be performed at the GANIL cyclotrons experimental areas and the SPIRAL2/NFS facility.

The deadline for submission of the proposals is October 2nd, 2026 (12:00 CET).

The submission of experimental proposals to GANIL PAC should follow the procedure below:
1. Prior to the proposal submission, you are requested to communicate with the equipment scientific coordinators (see list at the bottom of the page here https://www.ganil-spiral2.eu/en/scientists/running-an-experiment-in-ganil/proposing-an-experiment/call-for-proposals-xpgan/)
2. The proposal should be submitted to GANIL via online submission using the following web form https://u.ganil-spiral2.eu/pac/.
3. The spokesperson will be notified of the validity of the proposal for submission to the PAC by email from the GANIL Beam Coordinator, before October 7th, 2026.
4. Each collaborator must confirm before submission of the proposal form that they have read the proposal and have agreed to participate in the experiment.
5. Spokespersons and all collaborators are required to subscribe as members of the GANIL User Community (GUC). To become a member, please register at https://u.ganil-spiral2.eu/xpgan/

In case, you encounter any problems please contact the beam coordinator beamcoordinator@ganil.fr.

Important Notes:
- Accepted proposals are valid for a three-year period and can be scheduled at any time during this period. Beyond this period the validity of the physics case has to be reevaluated by the PAC independently of the reasons for its non-realization.
- Approved experiments will follow the GANIL data management plan and data policy https://www.ganil-spiral2.eu/scientists/running-an-experiment-in-ganil/data-management-plan/
- Approved experiments must follow the GANIL Publication Policy https://www.ganil-spiral2.eu/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/GANILPublicationPolicyJuly22.pdf.

Important dates:
• The dead line for the proposal submission is October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 CET
• The TAC will be held on the 5th of November 2026
• The dates of the PAC meeting to be held are the 23rd- 24th November 2026
