Access conditions

Access to the accelerator complex and experimental areas is restricted.

Consequently, you must ensure that all the members of your collaboration are allowed to work in a radiation environment. This must be attested by a valid medical certificate ; the certificate, must state that you have no contra-indications to work under ionizing radiation.

Each member of the staff must have a passive dosimeter, provided by their employer.

An electronic dosimeter and an access card will be provided by GANIL for the duration of the experiment, if the two above conditions are met.

Financial charges

GANIL beam schedule is divided into “Unit of Time” (UT) of eight hours. It is the smallest time slot which can be allocated. The hourly price of the beam access is re-evaluated every year (energy, fluids, manpower…).

A quotation is sent to the customer for each experiment ; the signed form must be returned two months before the scheduled experiment.
