GANIL open days – December 2, 2023

GANIL will open its doors to the general public on Saturday December 2, 2023.

Important information:
– An identity card (or passport) will be requested from each visitor at the entrance to the site
– The duration of the visit is approximately 2 hours. The visit requires taking stairs on several floors. Please notify yourself upon arrival if you are unable to go down and up the stairs (heart failure, people with reduced mobility, etc.)
– GANIL is monitored by equipment capable of detecting even low levels of radioactivity. If you need to undergo a medical examination using a radioactive tracer (scintigraphy type) within 3 days preceding the visit, please contact GANIL ( before registering.
– Magnetic fields present in certain areas of the installation are likely to disrupt electronic systems. Implant wearers (pace-makers, defibrillators, insulin pumps, etc.) are invited to make themselves known upon their arrival. The instructions to follow will be given to them.
The data (surname, first name, date of birth, place of birth, telephone, email) will be used exclusively by GANIL services for:
  • internal management of registrations and visits
  • administrative verification by the Prefecture services (regulatory provision for access to the site)
  • statistics (anonymized)
The data will be kept for a period of 3 months after the date of the open days and will only be accessible to those involved in the processing.
