Lise++ Lecture

The LISE++ lectures will focus on the practical use of the code for rare-isotope production, separator design, transmission calculations, and experimental analysis. Topics will include segmented and extended LISE++ configurations and their application to Distribution and Monte Carlo calculations; optical minimization up to second order and the use of COSY maps up to fifth order; multistep reactions in production targets and secondary reactions in wedges; recent developments and updates in charge-state calculations with ETACHA and GLOBAL; and recent LISE++ developments aimed at improving calculation speed, optimization, reliability, and automation, including Silent Mode, the LISE Libraries for Linux and Windows, and the IsomerAPI application.

A dedicated discussion will address possible needs for S3, including ion-optical modeling, physics calculations, and the use of Silent Mode for automated calculations and optimization.

The lectures will include practical examples and discussion of specific LISE++ problems. Participants are encouraged to prepare questions related to their own calculations, separator configurations, experimental applications, and possible future LISE++ developments.
