LISE ICC workshop

A new LISE workshop will be organize from February 6 (2 pm) to February 8 (1 pm) 2019 a  at the GANIL guesthouse. It aims at preparing the next call for experiment and defining the LISE scientific program and technical developments for the next 4 years.

The scientific topics addressed by this workshop will again be dealing with shell evolution, nuclear clustering and pairing, physics at the drip lines, nuclear astrophysics, soft/giant/collective modes, exotic decay modes and the study of the equation of state of nuclear matter.

During these 2 days, we foresee oral presentations with ample time for discussions.

We propose to address the following topics:

1- Status of the upgrade of LISE, foreseen detector developments

2- Highlights of the last two MUST2 campaigns. Future opportunities revealed from the obtained results.

3- Future experimental programs on direct reactions with MUST2 / GRIT detectors coupled to EXOGAM2 / PARIS. Complementarity with the MUGAST program.

4- Possible campaign of experiments using Coulomb excitation and inelastic scattering.

5- Follow up of the ACTAR TPC campaign (with or without gamma detection, in a standalone or in a “Tandem mode”…)

6- : Other ideas of scientific programs and technical developments (e. g. use of new gas or cryogenic targets, new combination of detectors, FAZIA ..)

A social dinner will be organized on February 7th.

Oral contributions should be submitted before January 15th. We hope to be able to propose few financial supports for the venue to the workshop, but we need to be informed as soon as possible and before January 15th. The contact person is Sabrina Lecerf Rossard (lecerf@ganil.fr).

For sake of efficiency in the discussions, we plan to restrict the number of participants to 60.
