First results from the Muon g-2 experiment at Fermilab

Abstract: At GANIL, several experiments (MORA, New Jedi, 6He neutron decay, 0+ 0+ Ft measurements, bSTILED) propose to measure the effects of the possible existence of still unknown particles. Very recently, the Muon g-2 collaboration announced the confirmation of signs of a new particle with the measurement of the magnetic moment of the muon. In a short presentation, I will introduce, for beginners, the Muon g-2 experiment, and then I will propose to discuss the possible links of this experiment with the GANIL experiments.
