GANIL welcomes international scientists to apply to its new visitor program.
This new visiting-scientist program at GANIL will provide an international venue for research in nuclear physics focused on GANIL investigations on exotic nuclei.
The program intends to strengthen and favor international collaborations between scientists working in the area of physics of exotic nuclei, including nuclear structure and reactions, nuclear astrophysics, as well as tests of the standard model with exotic nuclei.
The program is open to both theorists and experimentalists.
The grants shall cover travel and subsistence expenses for researchers interested in spending a minimum of two month at GANIL, to collaborate with GANIL scientists as well as with researchers from other French laboratories.
During the stay, small workshops may be organized to increase the scientific impact and visibility of the collaboration project. More details may be found here
Applicants are expected to send a CV and a short collaboration project at email@example.com
Projects will be reviewed by GUEC.
Projects for both ongoing and new collaborations may be funded.
This is the first call of the program, open up to May 1st 2022 for visiting scientists in 2022.
Selected researchers will be notified on the first of June 2022.
The full program will start with a second call, open from June to September 2022, for applicants wishing to visit GANIL in 2023.
Selected scientists will be notified by the end of September.
