DESIR
The DESIR facility (Disintegration, Excitation and Storage of Radioactive Ions) uses low-energy beams generated by SPIRAL and SPIRAL2. Decay spectroscopy, laser spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and ion trapping techniques make it possible to study questions pertaining to nuclear physics, weak interactions and astrophysics.
DESIR will accommodate detectors developed within the framework of the SPIRAL2 project.
