Our parent institutions
The CEA and CNRS are the two parent institutions of the GANIL laboratories.
The GANIL facility was created in 1976 by its two parent institutions:

| Institut National de Physique Nucléaire et de Physique des Particules (National Institute for Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics) - IN2P3 of the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) |
The GANIL has since then been managed on equal terms by these two institutions. The GANIL staff is employed by either one of the two parent institutions.
