Symposium 2009 - 06 Septembre 2009
The 16th "GANIL Symposium" (Colloque GANIL) will take place from the 6th to the 11th September 2009 in Giens (France).
The aim of this symposium is to present and discuss recent results obtained at GANIL, since the time of the last symposium, held in 2006. The topics to be addressed are as follows:
- interdisciplinary research
- nuclear astrophysics
- structure of exotic nuclei through direct reaction and gamma spectroscopy
- nuclear moments
- reaction mechanisms
- future developments for GANIL
The last day of the symposium will be devoted to a meeting of SPIRAL2's scientific committee, which will place particular emphasis on the goals of the first experiments to be run at the new facility.
